=Hadith on intention=

From the Amir al-Muminin Abu Hafs 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, radiya'llahu 'anhu, that he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying, 'Actions are only by intentions, and every man has only that which he intended. Whoever's emigration is for Allah and His Messenger then his emigration is for Allah and His Messenger. Whoever's emigration is for some worldly gain which he can acquire or a woman he will marry then his emigration is for that for which he emigrated'."
The two Imams of the hadith scholars narrated it - Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Isma'il ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Mughirah ibn Bardizbah al-Bukhari and Abu'l-Husein Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj ibn Muslim al-Qushayri an-Naysaburi - in their two sahih books which are the most sahih books compiled.

The ticket

The booth

The hall inside during the performance

Ramli Sarip's Wisdom of Nature concert was held at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas on Mei 10-11, 2010. The two days concert was successfully organized with almost all of the tickets were sold. The concert was presented by Impress Creative & Editorial Sdn Bhd and produced by Rasa Music in support of Yayasan Kemanusiaan Muslim Aid Malaysia (Muslim Aid).

During the two days concert, a booth for Muslim Aid has been provided by the organizer next to the entrance of the hall. By setting up the booth, Muslim Aid was able to reach the publics and convey informations related to the organization.

Hopefully, the existence of Muslim Aid in the future will be known more by the masses through other programs that will be organized later on.

Muslim Aid vs Malaysian Relief Agency?

Experiencing being blind persons

Muslim Aid was invited by Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) to joint a meeting discussing about a voluntarily work needed by students from Sekolah Menengah Pendidikan Khas Setapak. An exercise of being a blind person was made as everyone of us were instructed to cover up our eyes for the purpose of feel the feeling of seeing nothing in our life. In fact the session was exposing us with the psychological traits and emotions of blinded peoples. There are informations out of our knowledge about our fellow blinded friends. They are just like us but we are given the chance to see the world around. Therefore, we need to be with them and help those the unfortunate friends by helping them according to our competency .

In the meeting, we were fortunate to meet Encik Hafiz from Persatuan Orang-orang Cacat Penglihatan Islam Malaysia (PERTIS). Encik Hafiz did share with us several things related to blinded peoples such as some of common things needed to be known by publics about them. Another special guest was Cikgu Kok Sun Yeoh representing Sekolah Menengah Pendidkan Khas Setapak. He was asking for volunteers who are willing to be the readers for his students from upper six class who will take their Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) this coming November. Suppose they will be responsible to read the notes for the students and perhaps voice recording is expected to be one of the means in their learning process (depend on demand from students).

**Any inquiries related or interested volunteers are highly appreciated to call Muslim Aid at this number 03-22881996

Emergency Calling By Rumah Titian Kasih (RTK)

We have received a call from Rumah Titian Kasih (RTK) calling for an urgent meeting with them. From the call, it signified a very important thing wanted to be discussed. Alhamdulillah, we managed to go there on Wednesday 28 of April 2010 around 2 p.m.

Their hope is with you..

One of the hand-made products by the RTK to support their funding

The issue discussed in the meeting was about the process of selling the house by the owner. The life of the orphanage kids and disabled people will be miserable if the house is closed. Where else they can stay without this house?. They are also human beings like us so they deserve to be treated under Human Rights declaration. They deserve to live as a normal person at least have a home to stay at.

She knows nothing but she deserves a good future..do we care?..

Mak Pah and other administrators (mostly single mothers) in RTK are working very hard to get funding sources everywhere they can. The strategic location of that house which is at the heart of Metropolitan City of Kuala Lumpur is the reason why the value of it becomes 2.7 millions. 10% of the overall amount has been paid to the owner, yet the remaining amount needs to be paid as soon as possible. That is the only hope left for RTK to survive.

The willingness of the masses to light a hope for RTK is very appreciated. RTK can be reached through this number 03-40255246/ 013-3886462 (Puan Anita) / 017-6438393 (Cik Rozy) or MakPah herself at 019-6455769.

Any direct donation can be made through RTK's Maybank account 564061002172 under the name of Persatuan Pengurusan Pusat Jagaan Titian Kaseh Kuala Lumpur.

Hopefully, the smile is forever with them and we never let them alone. At least we can have a time to visit them to show our support. Everbody is most welcome to visit the house at 62A-2 Lorong Maran, Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, 53200 Kuala Lumpur.

Every donation made will be given Tax Exemption under the subseksyen 44(6) Akta Cukai Pendapatan 1967. Ruj: LHDN.01/35/42/51/179-6.6665, tarikh Kuatkuasa: 01. 12. 2009

Installing new file racks into the office of Muslim Aid

Sister Ainiza Kamsari (Utusan Malaysia) interviewing one of the ASDAFians

With Sister Ainiza Kamsari (Utusan Malaysia)

Office oh office. You have become our second home. It is true when people say "Home sweet home". Due to this reason, on Tuesday all of staffs at Muslim Aid was helping one another to make some adjustment in the office. Whatever it was, I would describe it as "The Office Cleaning Day". The installation of several new file racks into the office was somehow provides me with the chance to get to know each staff better. Alhamdulillah. Removing the old file racks in a teamwork was really enjoying. Others might comment " Hey, what's a big deal to do it in group hah?, I can do it myself". Do I care about it?, YES of course I do. Besides, no matter how big and strong you are, the most important thing is "No Man is an Island". In the Quran, Allah has mentioned in Surah Al-Hujurat 49:13

"Oh Mankind We have created you male and female And made you into tribes and nations That you may come to know one another The noblest amongst you in God's sign are the most pious God is All-Knowing, All Experienced"

Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h said as mentioned by Bukhari and Muslim in their sahih:

Actions are only by intention, and every man shall only have what he intended. Thus he whose emigration (hijrah) was for Allah and His Messenger, his emigration was for Allah and His Messenger, and he whose emigration was to achieve some worldly benefit or to take some woman in marriage, his emigration was for that for which he made emigration.

At 2 p.m, there was a media coverage (Utusan Malaysia) at ASDAF. A reporter and a photographer patiently waiting for us since they had arrived little bit earlier than the exact time promised. We was told that they wanted to interview some kids from ASDAF and the issue will be put into the newspaper. Hopefully the covered up story will make people realize the true story behind the scene of the daily life of orphanage kids.

Therefore, the most important is whatever we do, wherever we are, we must always remember who we are and for what purpose we are in this world.

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِسَانِي عَامِرًا بِذِكْرِكَ وَ قَلْبِي بِخَشْيَتِكَ
Oh Allah! Make my tongue full of Your remembrance, and my heart with consciousness of You.

The Fieldworks

At the UNHCR office

The Musolla of ASDAF

Early in the Monday morning (April 26, 2010) we (bro. Muhardi, bro. Muhammad and me) "had a meeting" at the UNHCR office at Jalan Bukit Petaling. The meeting was set up mainly to update and discuss on the arising matters related to the Futsal Tournament between refugee communities.

**During the monthly meeting between refugee communities, UNHCR and Muslim Aid on April 13,2010, the Sport Committe had decided to organize a futsal tournament between refugees (the Somali, Afghan, Sri Lankan and Myanmar. The tournament is tentatively will be organized on June 12, 2010 (Saturday)

The meeting was arranged by sister Letchumi verbally during the day we went there to submit a program report on another futsal tournament between orphanage homes a week before. Since the time is earlier when we got there, we headed to the cafeteria to take a cup of Teh Tarik, one of the favorite drinks among Malaysians. There was a Malay drama in the television a few years before showed a scene of a conversation between an English girl who had just arrived to meet her Malay father who opens a coffee shop with a village people on Teh Tarik. Once a customer ordered a cup of Teh Tarik. The girl then replied "Teh Tarik?..nak tarik dengan apa?..dengan tali?.. suddenly everybody laughed. I don't know the reason why I keep remember on the scene once I drink Teh Tarik. Perhaps, the actors succeeded in transmitting their message to make people laugh. At least it will remind me to sharpen my communication skill from time to time.

By the way, we was told by the staffs there that sis. Letchumi was not well. She was quarantined for H1N1. There was nothing to do then, so we went back to our office at Mutiara Bangsar. From a field work, we changed the style into clerical works (writing and discussing on proposals for our upcoming programs). At 2 p.m, one more time we went to UNHCR. This time the agenda was to discuss on "how to market the products made by refugees". "We suppose to ask for permanent tag from UNHCR" said bro. Muhammad indicating the regular visits to UNHCR is equal to be working with UNHCR. Sometimes we need to make jokes to relieve ourselves from any unwanted effects of working (for example stress). This advise was given by bro. Muhammad while he is driving us back to our office and it really helpful for beginners like us.

We called it a day by visiting ASDAF nearly around 6 p.m. Bro. Muhammad was responsible to monitor the tuition classes there every week. The students under bro. Muhammad supervision are aged between 11 and 12 years old. They did performed well in the class. Some also showed normal reactions (feel shy to write, to read and to ask) when a teacher is in front of them. Well I am also a student =)
